Fees and Funding
Fees
Fees are reviewed annually, usually in February. Note, there has been no increase in fees for two years (as at January 2026).
The fees are £17.64 for 3 and 4 year olds, and £24.84 for 2 year olds, for a 3 hr session, payable half termly.
We have an additional voluntary contribution of £2.50 per day for snacks & resources (or £1.50 for children only attending an afternoon session). From these contributions we provide a healthy range of snacks for all children daily and extra activities (beyond basic everyday resources) such as weekly cooking, consumables for family activities (such as our half-termly parent and child craft sessions) and seasonal resources. Without enough of these voluntary contributions, we may need to revise the range of activities we create for all our children.
Parents will receive an invoice at the end of each half term to be paid before the start of the next half term. In the case of longer half terms, invoices may be issued monthly to make payments more manageable. You will be advised when this is the case. Fees must still be paid if the children are absent or on holiday. If your child has to be absent over a long period of time, talk to the supervisor or chairperson.
Lunch club
If your child only comes in the morning (9.00am-12.00pm), you have the option to stay an extra hour in our lunch club (12.00-1.00pm) at the cost of £6.50, unless this is covered by your funded hours.
Free Funding
Derbyshire County Council gives free funding to all children age 3 and over, this happens the term after the child’s third birthday. All children are entitled to 5 free sessions and these can be taken at different sessions. Parents are asked to fill in an FE1 form so that the Derbyshire County Council knows where each child will be claiming the 5 sessions. In certain cases 2 year old children are now entitled to free funding please see staff for information. Also if both parents are working you might be entitled to 30hrs free childcare, parents will need to apply through HMRC using the following link childcare-support.tax.service.gov.uk. You don't have to use all your 30hrs in one setting to qualify, you can split the free entitlement between different settings.
